In this way your children, whom you love, Lord, would learn that it isn’t the various kinds of crops that sustain humans, but it is your word that preserves those who trust in you.
That thy children, O Lord, whom thou lovedst, might know that it is not the growing of fruits that nourisheth men, but thy word preserveth them that believe in thee:
This happened so that the people whom you loved, O Lord, might learn that they are not fed by what they can grow. It is your word that maintains those who put their trust in you.
That your children whom you loved might learn, O Lord, that it is not the various kinds of fruits that nourish, but your word that preserves those who believe you!
so that your beloved children, O Lord, might learn that it is not the various crops of the earth that nourish them, but it is your word that sustains those who trust in you.
